Mustang (the horse not the car)

Hey I'm going to tell you about the mustang.  The mustang's were used for racing and for cowboys.  If you wondering who brought them in when.  Some Spanish came here for land and met with Indians and started war and when they retreated they left their horses.  They came in the late 1400's and the early 1500's.  That's my blog about mustangs. Old Yeller

dsThere once was a dog named Old Yeller.  He lived with Travis, Little Arliss, and their mother. That was the family he lived with.  They found Old Yeller when he ate some of Travis' meat he caught, and Travis was mad.  He wanted to kill him, but Little Arliss claimed him and the mother said "he can keep it."  So he kept it.  Then Travis went to hunt and he shot a doe, but the doe got up and hit a tree.  Then there was a bullfight and Old Yeller got in the way and tried to scare the bulls away.  He somehow didn't scare them away, because Travis likes watching bullfights so Travis picked up a rock and aimed it at Old Yeller (but he wasn't going to throw it at him he just did that to scare him) and that scared him to go and run around the house.  The bulls we're going to run into the fence and they did. The bulls also run into the house.  Then in another chapter Travis is fixing the fence and Little Arliss yells and Travis runs and is going to save him and Arliss' holding onto a bear cub.  There is my blog. Bye!

Davy Crockett

Hi, I'm blogging about Davy Crockett.  He was born on August 17th 1786 in east Tennessee.  He was a noted hunter and for his unique style of backwoods oratory.  In Texas he is a heroic participant in the Battle of the Alamo.  He was 18 before he learned to read and write.  When he got married he started a family with several children.  By 1821 he was elected the state legislature and was reelected to the position in 1823.  From 1827 through 1833 Davy served in the Congress of the United States.  However, in the fourth term he was defeated by a narrow margin.  Disgusted by that time with the politics he went to Texas in the fall and a month later he fought in the Battle of the Alamo and died in battle.  That's my blog.  Bye!
